Tripartite Man
(This site, maintained by Christian Websites  is a good example of traditional popular teachings on the Christian nature of man. I personally found this model a good starting point but never satisfactory. By way of criticism, the claim is often made that "intuition" is a faculty of the spirit. However this is only a part truth. It is spiritual intuition which must be verified by the mind the intellect and the heart and by the rule of spiritual knowledge. I feel it is truer to say that the Holy Spirit speaks into our inward being or our soul through our spirit. Full marks to the authors though for dealing with this important subject in any way. )
